Deltans joins Okpe Council Boss to celebrate Oborevwori

*lights up spectacular fireworks across the state

Deltans yesterday joined the Executive Chairman of Okpe local government Council of Delta State, Okakuro Isaiah Onoriode Esiovwa (JP) to celebrate the amiable Governor of Delta state, Rt. Hon. Elder Sherriff Oborevwori as he lights up the state with fireworks.

The Okpe local government boss, who stood for the governor in lighting up the spectacular fireworks in Orerokpe playground behind Orodje of Okpe Palace amid funfair and jubilations, described the fireworks as the first of its kind in the local government.

He further pledged to continue to key into the MORE agenda of the state in the development of Okpe local government area.

Multitude of people who were at the center witnessed the event when Esiovwa flicked the switch to light up the skies and spark a firework as displayed in the play ground, which according to the Esiovwa, signifies as light to end 2023 and the beginning of a great year, 2024.

According to Esiovwa, “It was amazing to see so many people around that witnessed the great atmosphere tonight and I hope everyone had a wonderful time, as l pray for the land of okpe local government area and Okpe Kingdom to witness tremendous peace, progress and developments.

Those in attendance include; the Treasurer Okpe local government council, Mrs Elohor Ako, Okpe local government NULGE Chairman, Mrs Endurance Odebala, youths, staffs of Okpe local government area among others.
